Roger Whitefield

Roger Whitefield ChairmanA Non-Executive Member of the Air Safety Support International Board since November 2005 Roger, was appointed Non-Executive Chairman in November 2006.  He also serves on the Safety Regulation, Audit and Remuneration Committees. His last management position in British Airways was Head of Corporate Safety and Quality. He will continue in his position as Safety Advisor to the Qantas Airways Board.

Francis Morgan

Francis MorganFrancis was appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Member in June 2008 and is Head of the International Aviation & Safety Division at the Department for Transport.

Helen Nellthorp

Helen NellthorpHelen, who is a career member of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, is Deputy Head of Overseas Territories Department. She has served in a range of other posts at home and overseas, the most recent of which was at the United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations in Geneva from 2001 to 2006. Helen was appointed to the Board as a non-Executive member in August 2006.

Thomas Swann

Thomas SwannThomas was appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Member in April 2009.  He was first appointed to the Post of Managing Director Turks and Caicos Islands Civil Aviation Authority in June 2006 and previously held the post of Director Civil Aviation Department from 1986 to May 2006.

 

Thomas Dunstan

Thomas DunstanThomas was appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Member in July 2009.  He joined the Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation (BDCA) in November 2006 and served one year as "Designate Director" before being appointed to the substantive post of Director.  Thomas holds both FAA and Canadian Commercial Pilot licences with multi-engine instrument and instructor ratings.  Prior to joining BDCA, Thomas was employed with the Department of Airport Operations at the Bermuda International Airport for ten years in various capacities.  He played a key part in the airport's certification process and was instrumental in the development of the airport's Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Maria Boyle

Maria BoyleMaria was appointed to the Board as an Executive Member in April 2009 and also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of ASSI.  An air traffic controller and examiner experienced in both aerodrome and area radar environments, Maria spent several years with the UK CAA before joining ASSI as Manager of the Policy, Quality and Standardisation team in 2007. 

Padhraic Kelleher

Padhraic KelleherPadhraic was appointed to the Board as an Executive Member in January 2008 and is also the Head of the Airworthiness Division, UK Civil Aviation Authority. Formerly he has held a range of CAA management and engineering posts, is a former European Joint Aviation Authorities Executive Board member and has served as the CAA's lead adviser to HM Government on the development of the European Aviation Safety Agency. Before joining the CAA, Padhraic worked for British Aerospace plc.

Simon Baker

Simon BakerSimon was appointed to the Board in May 2003.  He is the Head of Finance for the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Simon is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and has worked for the CAA since 1996, previously having a career in a variety of financial roles within the private sector.

Rupert Britton

Ruper BrittonA solicitor, he was appointed as Company Secretary of Air Safety Support International Ltd in December 2000 and also serves as Company Secretary and Legal Adviser to the UK Civil Aviation Authority. He is a member of the Consumer Protection Policy Committee, the Economic Regulation and Policy Committee, the NATS Licence Management Committee; Trustee of the Air Travel Trust and Trustee of the CAA Pension Scheme. Formerly the CAA Deputy Secretary and Legal Adviser.
