Personnel Licensing

The requirement for the licensing of Air Traffic Service personnel is contained in the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order, principally Articles 92 and 98.

There are three types of Air Traffic Service provided at locations in the Overseas Territories:

• Air Traffic Control;
• Flight Information Service; and
• Aeronautical Ground Radio.

Requirements for Air Traffic Service and Aeronautical Ground Radio personnel licensing can be found in:

Requirements for Flight Information Service personnel licensing will be incorporated into OTARs 65 and 67 but can currently be found in UK Civil Aviation Publications:

• CAP 410B Manual of Flight Information Services - Part B Aerodrome
• CAP 427 - Flight Information Service and the FISO Licence
