OTAR 172 Air Traffic Service Organisation Approval: Issue 4

This OTAR prescribes requirements governing: (1) the provision of air traffic services within the airspace of the Territories; (2) the approval and operation of organisations providing air traffic services in the sovereign airspace of the Territories excluding those portions of airspace that are: (i) within the flight information region administered by another ICAO Contracting State in accordance with the terms of a Regional Air Navigation Agreement; or (ii) the subject of a written agreement between an organisation responsible for the provision of ATS service in adjacent airspace which delegates the provision of ATS service to that organisation; and (3) the operating standards for the provision of air traffic services.
The Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order details the legal obligations governing the approval of air traffic services. The Requirements of this OTAR Part are the means by which the organisation will be able to satisfy the Governor as to the fulfilment of the obligations in respect of air traffic services.
