When Air Safety Support International (ASSI) was first created in 2003, there was a specific objective for ASSI to provide assistance, training and advice to those responsible for aviation safety regulation in the Overseas Territories. Below are some of the areas that are covered:
Working with the Territories is done in a number of ways, it can be developing individual training plans or organising specific training for an individual. Where appropriate ASSI also conducts On-The-Job Training (OJT) for individuals on their technical training. The sorts of technical areas where training has been provided include Aerodrome Regulation; Audit Techniques; Human Factors, Airworthiness and Avionics.
