Overseas Territories Aviation Circulars are issued to provide advice, guidance and information on standards, practices and procedures necessary to support Overseas Territory Aviation Requirements. They are not in themselves law but may amplify a provision of the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order or provide practical guidance on meeting a requirement contained in the Overseas Territories Aviation Requirements.
This OTAC has been issued to change the applicability date regarding 25-hour duration Cockpit Voice Recorders on OTAR Part 121 & 125 aeroplanes with a Maximum Certificated Take-Off Mass of over 27 000kg, the date for which the first certificate of airworthiness, for that individual aeroplane, was issued on or after, from 1st January 2021 to 1st January 2022. It amends the wording of OTAR Parts 121.760(c)(4) and 125.760(f)(4), pending formal amendment of the OTAR itself.
