The Policies are intended for the use and guidance of regulatory staff of the Territories and for the staff of ASSI. They are key documents controlling the process of regulation in the Territories and are equally applicable throughout the Territories.
The following Policy Statements are currently under consultation:
Consultation has commenced on Policy 29 following amendment of ELT registration information to reflect current practices following consultation with the UK Maritime and Coast Guard Agency. This amendment allows beacons to be registered with either the UK Beacon Registry or the International Beacon Registration Database.

Consultation has commenced on Policy 48 following the addition of information to explain why ASSI are not able to charge delegates for attending training and to clarify the arrangements around group training requested by an OTAA.
