New Process for Online Regulatory Applications

Why we are making this change

We have redesigned our regulatory application process to make it easier, faster, and more secure for you to submit applications. The previous PDF application form process - submitted via email - has now been replaced. This change ensures a more streamlined service and provides applicants with clearer, faster and more reliable communication throughout the approval process.

Using our new online system improves:

  • The speed of processing your applications.
  • The accuracy and control of the information you provide.
  • The quality of communication between you and ASSI while keeping all the communication related to each application in one place.

This update reflects our commitment to providing a modern, user-friendly digital service.

What is changing

Most regulatory applications must now be submitted through our new Centrik online portal. This system requires users, whether individuals or organisations, to have an account before applying.

Accounts

There are two types of account depending on whether you are applying as an individual or an organisation.

Individual Applicants

Individuals applying for a Flight Crew Certificate of Validation (CoV) can now create their own account through our online self sign-up portal.

Organisations

New organisations

Organisations applying for an approval under any of the regulatory areas below must request an account by completing our online registration form:

Organisation Registration Form

Once submitted, ASSI will create your organisation’s Centrik account within 2 working days. You will receive an email once your account is ready with next steps.
 

Existing Organisations

If your organisation is known to ASSI, you do not need to apply for an account. Your login details will be provided directly by the ASSI team.

If you have not yet received your account information, please contact your assigned ASSI inspector or direct your query to enquiries@airsafety.aero for assistance.

How communication will work

Once you apply using the Centrik portal:

  • All communication from ASSI regarding your application will be handled within the portal.
  • Inspectors will leave comments and requests for additional information directly in your application form. You can communicate with the relevant inspector within the portal by adding a comment. Refer to the video guide for more information.
  • You will receive email alerts with a link to the online application notifying you whenever an update or query has been added.
     

   Look out for: Email notifications from the Centrik portal directing you back to your application. This reduces the need for email exchanges and ensures everything stays in one place.


When to expect updates

Once your application is approved, your certificate will be issued through the portal and will be available for you to download. You will be notified by email when it is ready.

Applications already in progress will continue to be processed, but all new applications should be submitted through the Centrik portal. Our inspectors will be in touch with you if there are any changes to this.
