GENERAL
Overseas Territories Aviation Circulars are issued to provide advice, guidance and information on standards, practices and procedures necessary to support Overseas Territory Aviation Requirements. They are not in themselves law but may amplify a provision of the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order or provide practical guidance on meeting a requirement contained in the Overseas Territories Aviation Requirements.
PURPOSE
This Circular provides information and guidance on mandatory continued airworthiness requirements including those relating to airworthiness directives.
RELATED REQUIREMENTS
This Circular relates to OTAR Parts 21 and 39.
CHANGE INFORMATION
Third issue: Paras 2, 3 and 4 amended to reflect changed terminology in OTAR 39.67 at Issue 14, to change the terms State of Design or State of Type Certification to the national or supranational statutory body that oversees the regulation of civil aviation responsible for the type certification upon which Type Acceptance Certification rests in accordance with OTAR 21.25(a).
